Hydrojetting is the process of using water under high pressure to scour the pipe walls clean of grease, debris, roots, sand or dirt and flush it all out and away downstream.
Hydrojetting is unique in that it is the only process that can actually clean your lines. Because of this, hydro-jetting has become the industry standard for sewer and drain cleaning.
This is in complete contrast to running a cable or a snake in a line. A cable or snake typically punches a hole in the debris or blockage to allow flow again and usually leaves some debris behind. This debris can be and often is the starting point for debris to start accumulating all over again.
Take note that if your problem is grease related, Hydro-jetting is the only way to win that battle.
Superjet specializes in Hydro-jetting. See Why Choose Us. We operate full size, $45,000.00 trailered US Jetting machines carrying a standard of 500 feet of 1/2 inch hose. These machines deliver a maximum 4000 psi at 18 gallons per minute. The pressure is completely adjustable for any given situation. We maintain a variety of hoses that allow us to hydro-jet anything from a 10" main sewer line all the way down to a small trap in a floor drain. We also use Warthog brand rotary nozzles when possible because they are so much more efficient at cleaning even though they are ten times the cost of a non-rotary nozzle. We have thousands of hours of specific Hydro-Jetting experience and it is truly amazing what a full size jetter with a rotary head will cut through and flush out.
Superjet uses high end color video inspection equipment for the finest image available. Inspections are typically narrated and worksite reports are detailed. We have inspected thousands and thousands of running feet of drain and sewer lines. If necessary, we can also provide detailed grade measurements comparing ground surface level elevation to the depth of the pipe in order to determine how to handle drainage and grade problems. We are experts at diagnosing problems and providing solutions. All inspections can be delivered on VHS tape or DVD.
Superjet can put an electronic signal onto a line to trace it's path below ground. This can be done for sewer, gas, water, electrical and communication lines. This locating or mapping can allow you to tie in to existing lines if needed or it can simply be useful for damage avoidance. We even have the capability of locating and or tracing plastic water pipe using a unique tracing device.
Superjet uses the state of the art Subsurface LD 11 leak detector to listen for the sound of leak. Next time you turn on the garden hose outside, take notice of the immediate sound that starts coming from the water flowing through the valve. It is that same scenario of water being forced through an opening that creates a similar sound when water is forced out of a leaking pipe. With the proper equipment, that leak point can be located below ground by tracing that sound. The LD11 leak detector is so sensitive that you can hear someone walking on a concrete slab 100 feet away. It is an industry standard device owned by many municipalities for this exact same reason. It is so sensitive and so accurate that we guarantee that our locate is right on the mark or there is no charge.
Smoke testing for sewer gas / sewer smell is an art. Not many companies offer this service and even fewer are good at it. We have done hundreds of smoke tests and have found the problem after many contractors before us were unable to.
Again Superjet uses a state of the art smoke machine. It produces a non-toxic OSHA compliant smoke that does not leave any residue. We can produce smoke for as long as necessary and the air volume of the machine or CFM is completely controllable. With this machine, we can test anything from a 900 square foot house to a 90,000+ square foot warehouse. The smoke testing process is extremely accurate at finding leaks that can be hidden anywhere, even buried inside walls.
As an example, we did one test for a management company that was in charge of a new shopping center and multiple tenants were complaining of sewer smell and feeling ill. This had been going on for quite some time. The fire department and all the contractors and sub-contractors who had been involved with the construction and modifications of the properties had been called in before us and already inspected the property. Everyone said, there is no leak we can't find anything. This isn't unusual because even though a leak may be there, there are many factors that can cause the leak smells to come and go. Literally, even which way the wind is blowing can affect when you get sewer gas inside a building.
Well in this instance we applied smoke and within one hour we had located our first of 2 major leaks. The first was inside a tenants’ wall where the subcontractor had moved a sink and neglected to cap off the open line within the wall. Every time the tenant turned on their kitchen exhaust fan, it sucked sewer gas right through the door jam and through the attic and drop ceiling into the building.
Sometimes the leaks come from a completely different source than expected, as in leak number 2. But that find is a trade secret. This is where experience comes into play and this is why we have found serious leaks for customers after they have been told by numerous contractors before us that there is no leak.
Trenchless Pipe Replacement
Superjet uses the Permaliner Trenchless pipe system to rehabilitate problem drain or sewer lines. In many instances it allows degraded sewer and drain pipe to be saved and rehabilitated without any extensive digging. The advantage to this system is that it allows whatever is on top of the line to remain undisturbed. Our installers are Permaliner certified with tens of thousands of feet of liner installed.
